I was recently given the opportunity to try out the new supplement line from BeFit™ as well as their 30 Day Fat Burn YouTube workout series. I enjoyed both and I would like to share my experience with you.
BeFit™ currently offers four supplements:
This protein powder is a Whey Isolate and Casein combination so you get the best of both forms in one product. Whey Isolate is a fast acting protein that helps fill you up and get your muscles what they need immediately after a workout, while the Casein is a slow acting protein that benefits recovery and muscle growth long after your workout is complete. Each serving is packed with 22 grams of protein and is only 100 calories per serving. This product is also GMO, sugar and gluten free. Try it in Vanilla or Chocolate.
This fat burner provides the benefits you want without the “caffeine jitters” typical of this type of supplement. It naturally enhances the metabolic process to promote fat loss within your body, if paired with the correct nutrition. This product also supports healthy blood sugar levels (for those who are already within healthy limits), which can help manage cravings and curb appetite levels. This product is vegan as well as GMO and gluten free.
This pre-workout formula is composed of two powerful, clinically studied ingredients: elevATP™ (stimulates the production of ATP in the body, which is used in energy production within the body) and BetaPower™ Natural Betaine (helps to improve muscle endurance). This product is GMO and sugar free, and an easy 5 calorie addition to your day.
This multivitamin is food based and contains B-vitamins that are cultivated with live probiotics so that they body recognizes them as food, not as synthetic chemicals. It contains Wellmune®, a natural ingredient clinically studied to boost the immune system, and Vitaberry™, an organic, all-fruit combination of strawberry, raspberry, blueberry, tart cherry, pomegranate, and cranberry that is said to help combat oxidative stress and the oxidative damage caused by free radicals. This product is vegan as well as GMO, gluten and stimulant free.
You can purchase all supplements as a one-time only purchase, or sign up for a monthly subscription and save 10% with each order. You can also save 25% on your order and enjoy free shipping with the discount code WHEY25.
MY SUPPLEMENT EXPERIENCE
I had the opportunity to try all of the supplements except the BeFit™ MULTI.
I used the BeFit™ Whey in Vanilla after my workouts and I really enjoyed the flavor. Vanilla is a hard flavor to like because so many have a weird chemical aftertaste, but I didn’t find that with this protein and that made me happy. I really like the combo of the Whey Isolate and Casein as well, something I usually take separately. I have been researching the idea of taking them together since receiving this product (something that I didn’t know existed actually) and I’m learning a lot and messing with the way I’m supplementing protein in my day.
I tried the BeFit™ PRE on multiple days before my workouts. I’m going to be honest, while the berry taste is pretty good, my usual pre-workout is actually more appealing to me. However, this one isn’t bad – I’ve tasted worse. It seemed to work really well – I got the same burst of energy I do from my normal pre-workout, and I didn’t have any jittery feeling (I’m sensitive to caffeine so this is always a concern for me).
I also incorporated the BeFit™ Burn into my day for a few weeks and I didn’t notice much of a difference that I can attribute just to this product. I’ve lost some weight, but I’ve also been working hard on my nutrition and my workouts, so I think it’s a combination of a lot of things. I’m not one to run to fat burners, I believe they can help but I personally just think they’re another supplement to add to your day, take it or leave it. If you’re looking for a fat burner that doesn’t give you caffeine jitters, try this one – I felt no side effects and I’m very sensitive to caffeine (as I said earlier) so that’s always a huge plus for me.
BeFit™ also offers 10 online workouts on their 30 Day Fat Burn YouTube channel that offers a mix of cardio and weight training to burn calories and promote fat loss in HIIT style workouts that incorporate light weight (my favorite!). You can learn all about the program in the Fitness Program Introduction video.
All of the workouts are about 10 minutes long, which make them a great addition to your current workout schedule. You can do one or stack a few to create a full body workout. Or if you’re a beginner, they provide you with an excellent starting point to start your fitness journey as you follow along with the 30 Day Schedule (download here).
The only thing needed for these workouts in a little bit of space and optional dumbbells for a few of the routines.
Don’t have dumbbells? Grab two bottles of water or two soup cans to add a bit of resistance to your workout! Dumbbells are available at Wal-Mart, Target and any sporting goods store in your area, and I highly recommend investing in a set or two to add to your workouts. The workouts recommend 3-10 pounds, and that’s a great start – a lot of the moves are quicker and you’re just adding the weight for a little more intensity. Start with a weight that you can easily work with (3-5 pounds) and I would recommend a set that is a little more challenging for when you want to step up the intensity (8-10 pounds).
MY WORKOUT EXPERIENCE
I have been working through my own workout schedule that is pretty set, so I didn’t follow the calendar linked above. However, I did play with stacking a few of the workouts on a cardio day to get a full body workout and I very much enjoyed them, and I will be adding these workouts (and others offered from the BeFit™ YouTube Channel) into my regular lineup on cardio days.
I enjoyed the instructors, Astrid McGuire and Danielle Pascente. I’m super picky when it comes to DVD instructors, they can get on my nerves very quickly – but these two are likable, explain each move, and don’t fill the silence with too much fluff. I didn’t find myself lost at any point during the workout, I knew what was coming next.
I also very much enjoyed the participants in each video. A pet peeve of mine is when those picked for the workouts don’t have the correct form and are not corrected by the instructor(s) – I specifically watched for that and didn’t notice anyone that would steer someone at home in the wrong direction.
I would call myself experienced and even a bit advanced in terms of workouts – I’m definitely not a beginner. These workouts were enough to get my heart pumping, they challenged me, and they burned a decent amount of calories. Like I said, I love HIIT-style workouts and I will absolutely be adding these to my regular lineup.
You can access all of the workouts on your computer, mobile device, or Apple TV (or any other smart TV or device that allows you to browse YouTube). I favorited the BeFit™ YouTube Channel so I can access all of their workouts quickly and easily.
