I’ve seen two people this week in my Facebook newsfeed who have started their “diets” (not sure why this week is it, maybe because it’s a new month? I’m not sure) and they’re eating salads for dinner. They are eating absolutely nothing all day long and they are miserable.
These people have also ignored my invitations in the past to join my challenge groups. Coincidence? I think not.
BE SMART ABOUT YOUR WEIGHT LOSS. You do not need to starve yourself and be miserable. This is not a sprint, it’s a marathon – and you know what? You need to be able to LIVE with this lifestyle. I can’t stand “diets” because they imply short term – you go to drastic measures, you lose weight, then you go right back to how you were living because you CAN’T LIVE on a diet…and then the weight comes back, and normally even more because those who deprive themselves will often turn to binging to get everything they couldn’t have while on their “diet.”
All you have to do is cut the crap out of your life – get rid of the processed food, the alcohol, the pop/soda, the fast food, etc. Fill your day with lean meats, fruits and veggies, whole grains, and lots of water and your body will reward you. Feel like having a cookie? HAVE ONE. Just don’t eat the whole container. I have a snack EVERY SINGLE DAY and I see progress on the scale daily, too.
Stop depriving yourself and start living a life with healthy and smart choices – there is no need for a “diet” in that life.
